well, just to freshen things up a bit around here (though not meaning to bump Matt’s beautiful picture from the top of the list), i thought i would share a few links from today’s boortz page.

first: a man wrastled a wild leopard who jumped in bed with his family, holding him pinned for 20 minutes. the best part of the article is that the daughter was in bed with them because she was afraid of a mosquito!

second: closer to home, an eighty pound monitor lizard has been shot twice and still got away, near orlando. i ain’t gettin’ away if you shoot me twice.

third: just for kicks - a palestinian was arrested having “car sex” near arafat’s grave. no mention of how “hot” the car was.

save some money. google is offering free ISP service.

it is still in beta, but read through the page. it looks to be interesting technology. the details on installation should definitely be read, study the diagram, and don’t miss how they are including google checkout delivery services (at the bottom of the page).

I am really, really pissed that NBC and the other media outlets are playing this guys videos and pictures over the airwaves.  I think it’s disrespectful of the families, not to mention it’s exactly what this freak wanted and will feed other peoples similar desires.  Very bad decision making at NBC. I’m sure they “toiled” over it, but they went ahead and did it anyway.

This is not a joke. Well, actually, it is, but it’s not meant to be, I don’t think, well maybe it’s sort of a Dave Chappelle joke where we’re all sort of in on it but know it’s funny anyway even though we should not be laughing cause this is serious stuff, but, come on, man, it’s so funny. I’m just not sure if it’s funny or not. Click it and decide for yourself.

Hey, authors - Harrison, Steven, Matt, Archie - I noticed yesterday that I had a couple of comments from Archie and Harrison that were awaiting moderation.  This happens because of some of the anti-spam stuff; if there are more than a certain number of links, it has to be approved.  To fix this, I made all of you administrators.  If a comment doesn’t post, sign in to the admin panel, go to manage, and look at the awaiting moderation tab.  You can approve your own comment there.  Please don’t mess with the presentation tab.  Or do.  Thanks.

“Cow ‘emissions‘ more damaging to planet than CO2 from cars”

i know that you don’t want to talk anymore about global warming, but i ran across this long article about some of the reasons that there are intelligent people who don’t believe that the current warmer global temperatures are due to SUVs. i know you won’t read the whole thing, but at least page down and skim some of the exhibits that start about 1/3 of the way down the page. for a brief, though hardly convincing, summary, look at this.

And, if that wasn’t enough, the simple act of talking triggers a flood of brain chemicals which give women a rush similar to that felt by heroin addicts when they get a high.

In the span of about 6-9 months we’ve gone from caution about the housing market, to downright gloom and bubbles bursting, to a recovery according to Business Week.  This has to be the fastest real estate cycle ever.  Or, could it be overzealous reporters selectively using data to perpetuate a fear to create a story?  You be the judge.  They keep mowing them down, building bigger and selling in my neighborhood even with all the speculation going on.  Did anyone ever think building cracker box houses in the Arizona desert was sustainable?
